FAQs

  • What are the benefits of using Progress Learning?

    • Standards-aligned: Progress Learning is aligned with state standards so you know that the time students spend in the platform directly helps them master standards and increase scores on their state tests.
    • Individual, tailored practice: Progress Learning provides questions on specific standards to students based on what they need to practice.
    • Remediation: We offer immediate feedback when students miss a question to help them understand and correct their mistakes. We also offer Quick Click Remediation which allows teachers to easily assign more practice on topics students struggle with.
    • All subjects: Progress Learning covers all the core subjects you need for comprehensive supplemental practice.
    • Actionable data: We give teachers and administrators detailed, actionable data on how their students are progressing, what they do well, and what they need help with so you can give them personalized instruction and support.

  • How effective is Progress Learning?

In a study done by Johns Hopkins on the Douglas County School System in Georgia, it was proven that when Progress Learning was used with fidelity, it boosted Georgia Milestones scores on both math and reading. In addition to studies showing the effectiveness of Progress Learning, we see a constant stream of testimonials from teachers across the country explaining how and why Progress Learning has worked for them.

  • How is Progress Learning typically used in schools?

It can be used daily throughout instruction and is designed to fit into each school’s unique schedule, whether that be tutoring before, during, or after school, as an intervention block resource, or during a lesson to start the day with a bell ringer. Teachers can use it for whole group review, small group practice with our printable resources, or for independent practice either in the classroom or at home with assessments, assignments, and individual Study Plans.

  • How quickly can I start using Progress Learning?

You can start using Progress Learning immediately! As soon as you have your log in credentials, you can begin setting up your classes, students can login to their Study Plans, and teachers can create custom assignments for practice.

  • How much time should students spend on Progress Learning?

This will depend on what your goals are. Because Progress Learning is a supplemental program, we recommend setting markers for growth rather than requiring a certain amount of time spent. For example, you might set a goal that each student will earn at least 3 Galaxy Stars per week. That would mean the student is mastering at least 3 skills in Liftoff or earning at least 100% on an on-grade-level standard in their Study Plan. The time that it takes to accomplish this will vary by student, but pacing it this way keeps the main goal in mind and makes sure it is time well spent.

  • Is Progress Learning a full curriculum solution?

No. Progress Learning is a supplemental curriculum program that provides all the extra tools, practice, assessments, data, and resources that you need to effectively reinforce the standards being taught through your main curriculum. Progress Learning fits seamlessly into your classroom instruction because it covers your core subjects and is aligned to the standards you have been teaching.
