What Is Progress Learning?

About Arizona State Testing

The Arizona Academic Standards Assessment (AASA) is a series of statewide exams given to students in grades 3-8. AASA exams are intended to measure students’ mastery of the state standards in English language arts and mathematics.

The AzSCI (Arizona Science Test) is used to measure students’ mastery of state science standards. Elementary students take the AzSCI test once, in 5th grade.

Test dates for the AASA and AzSCI for elementary students go from March 31 – April 25, 2025.

Students grades 3-5 are required to complete the Arizona Academic Standards Assessment (AASA), which tests grade level English (ELA) and Mathematics.

Grade 5 students are also required to take the AzSCI assessment, testing grade-appropriate science topics such as earth and space science, physical science, and life science.

How Do You Prepare for Testing in Arizona?

Identify Problem Areas

Regular assessments of standards-aligned material can help students make up knowledge gaps ahead of AASA testing.

Employ Targeted Intervention

Create individual study and practice testing in students’ weak areas.

Practice Testing

Help students get more comfortable sitting for testing windows and answering questions online. Progress Learning can help by providing standards aligned practice to help students prepare for testing.
