What Is Progress Learning?
About KSA Testing
Kentucky students take the Kentucky Summative Assessments (KSA) throughout their academic journey from 3rd grade until 11th grade in certain subjects at certain grade levels. The KSA exams are intended to assess students’ mastery of the Kentucky Academic Standards (KAS).
The KSA exams are administered annually in the spring between late March and late May depending on the campus, grade level, and subject.
Elementary students in grades 3-5 are assessed on reading and mathematics. Additionally, students in grade 4 are assessed on science and students in grade 5 take social studies and writing assessments.
